We all know that malware in mobile devices increases each day and Google’s Android Operating System is no exception.

The malware called “GingerMaster”, a variation of the code DroidKungFu, exploits a failure in Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) devices with root and allows the hacker to totally control the infected devices.
The malware is found in infected applications and after it’s installed it will collect data anf information such as ID’s, phone numbers, etc to eventually be sent to a remote server.

The exploit was found as an archive named “qbfm.png” and according to the researchers after it’s installed and gets root privileges it can install applications without the user authorization.
